Houle Chooses West Point, Booker to UK
Inside Prep Sports/By TJ Kelley
With a heard of commitments across the nation, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard's 6'4" 2014 wing Jason Houle joined the fray on a more subtle note. The sharp shooting senior had the interest from a few of the Michigan's GLIAC programs with some Ivy League and MAC programs following him but West Point was his call earlier this afternoon.
Houle follows in the steps of a similar player and Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard grad, Josh Herbeck, who is a senior wing at West Point. Houle will more than likely sit out next year which is standard for Military based schools as they acclimate their players to their regiment.
In a story heavily followed with national media, Moss Point's 6'4" 2014 shooting guard Devin Booker didn't make it a homecoming by choosing Michigan, Michigan State, or Missouri where his father was a standout back in the twentieth century. The sharp shooting scorer will have the opportunity to follow in the path of many other Kentucky guards coached under John Calipari as he chose the Wildcats this afternoon.
